Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Come out, come out wherever you are.....

Over the past few weeks I've heard a couple random comments from people letting me know that they check my blog once in a while. I was really surprised to know that people other than my usual comment leavers actually check out my blog. My little blog visitor counter number keeps going up and up, but I honestly thought it was some of those people addicted to my blog checking to see if I had updated! I am flattered that people actually find my blog interesting enough to visit, but I have to admit that it was a little strange to find out people check my blog and I never even knew! SO....come on out...quit lurking....and let me know who you are! I'll admit - I am a big blog reader and love to get a peek inside other peoples lives, so I won't think you're weird for lurking. :) So, leave a comment ...and ...if you have a blog, leave your blog address so I can check yours out, too!!

Still allive...but barely!

Seriously....I cannot remember the last time I felt this sick! I started not feeling well Saturday night and by Sunday morning was completely miserable and very, very sick. I diagnosed myself with strep throat, along with a fever. Every joint in my body ached....you know the achiness when it even hurts to lay your head on the pillow?? I spent all day Sunday and Monday in bed, except to have Chris take me to the doctor on Monday afternoon. I do have strep throat (which was confirmed by the lovely swab they stuck into my very sore and swollen throat - YUCK!). He gave me a penicillin shot in my hip, a prescription for tylenol with codeine (GOOD stuff other than the nasty taste...which makes me gag...I'm such a good patient), and recommended not going back to school until Thursday. He also mentioned that this is my 3rd bout with strep throat in 2 years. If I were to have 3 episodes in 1 year, they would recommend having my tonsils removed. YUCK! My throat was totally swollen shut, which has made eating, drinking, talking and breathing very difficult (just ask Chris...he's been doing all my talking for me and has put up with some impressive snoring the past few nights!). I have been surviving on jello and ice - and even that hurts to swallow. Luckily the fever and achiness is gone now. My throat is still swollen and sore, but it seems to be getting better (either that or the tylenol with codeine has me fooled). Unfortunately I still have zero energy. Seriously, I take a shower and then have to take a nap! In fact, this is the first time since Saturday morning that I've even been on the computer (See...I told you I was SICK!).

So...Mia photos will be coming when I have a little more energy. Brenda and Jill - your photo CDs are coming very soon. I promise they will go out as soon as I'm feeling better. Brenda - tell your friends that their photos are coming soon, too. I feel so bad making them wait!

Meeting Mia...

The main reason for our trip to Texas was to meet Mia. We all spent lots of time holding her, rubbing her fuzzy head, and cuddling with her. It was so hard to leave her at the end of the week. We can't wait to see her again this summer!!

Coming tomorrow....pictures of Mia!!!

Bluebonnets

I have decided that I think I could move from Ohio to Texas just for the chance to take bluebonnet photos every spring. Seriously - I think I could do it! I have never actually seen the bluebonnets in bloom, and this year they were amazing. We spent part of an afternoon taking advantage of the beautiful blue flowers and taking tons of photos. I can't even begin to share all my favorites in one post....so I'm going to have to do 2 posts (see part 2 post below). Even then, I won't be able to share them all. If you want to see them all, you can click here. It will take you to the online photo album of our bluebonnet photos.

Jumping for joy.....

Let the Texas photo posts begin! I finally found some time to start sorting through all the photos I took in Texas last week. Brenda and Jill are being oh so patient and waiting and waiting to see photos. I will continue to work on them and slowly start adding them to my photo site as well as here on my blog. Round 1....jumping on Aunt Brenda's trampoline. We were missing Marcus (he was at school) and Payton (she was napping) and Mia wasn't quite ready for her first trampoline adventure...but the other 4 kiddos had a ball!

Coming tomorrow....easter egg photos.

Sugar overload....

YIKES! Easter was VERY good for Jacob and Jenna this year...maybe a little too good. The Easter Bunny actually went pretty light on the gifts this year. Jacob got a DVD, baseball cards, a chocolate bunny, an Easter kit kat, and gum. Jenna got a Barbie (click HERE to see it...it's perfect!!), a Barbie outfit, a chocolate bunny, an Easter kit kat, and gum. HOWEVER...between 2 Easter egg hunts, a gift bag from Grandpa and Grandma Covey, and overflowing buckets from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Becca we have enough sugar to feed most of Van Wert. They definitely appreciate the generosity and are in CANDY HEAVEN!! If anyone is in need of a sugar rush, please don't hesitate to stop by...we'll gladly share . Below are photos of the Easter aftermath. I think next year we'll just ask for money to pay Dr. Okuley for all their dentist bills. :)

HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter! Enjoy your Easter...and don't eat too many jelly beans and chocolate bunnies.
