Because I had to "take it easy" for three weeks and really wasn't able to do anything too active, my kids really didn't get much Mom time after my surgery. They were really helpful while I was recovering, but I felt bad that I wasn't able to actually be up and around doing things with them. Last weekend, I finally was starting to feel like myself again....so I had the kids help me make chocolate chip cookies. Jenna got to do the measuring and mixing....and Jacob scooped out the cookies and put them in the oven. ...and of course they both did their share of taste testing. I know making chocolate chip cookies is not a "photo worthy event" in most houses, but I had been missing my camera and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to take a few photos. The cookies were a big hit...and quickly disappeared...and I loved being able to spend some time with my kids just doing something simple.

Yumm! Those look great! I see the kids are dough eaters. I still am, but can't do as much as I used to. I'm glad you're feeling better. I thought of you when we were at a wedding Sat. at the Cleve. Arcade. What a gorgeous photo site.
so did jenna not like the feel of the dough? that face is so silly! and jacob is doing a good job tasting... my favorite part still!
Actually, she was cracking an egg in that photo and some of the egg got on her hand. I thought that look was hilarious!
i just love that you take photos of everything. and i also just love that jenna has that apron. i want a CHEF CHERYL one. ;)
