We love snow days!

The weatherman delivered....and we are home from school as a result. It's been snowing since early this morning and they are predicting 8-12 inches of snow plus lots of blowing and drifting later. I have a feeling this won't be the only day we are home this week.

Someone is a little too excited about the snow. She will probably be outside playing a lot during the next few days!

My snow kids....I love that I can still ask them to "get close" for a photo and they'll do it for me. Not sure how long that will last.
Some self portraits....

I even got Chris to participate in a few self portraits.... (and yes, Brenda...he is STILL wearing his Dallas Cowboys coat. That was truly the best purchase ever!)

LOVE this one!!Peeking up over their snow fort....you can hardly see them because of the constant snow fall!

Oh, good for you!! Looks like you had some good family fun. Our kids went out, but I wasn't brave enough to go out to shoot any photos! I love your self portraits - I can really tell how much fun you all were having! :0)

My kids were out all day, but like Michelle, I stayed inside where it is warm! Now I have a bunch of cold, wet laundry to do! Oh well...the work is worth all of the fun!

love love love! especially that last one of you and chris...that's one you should frame! :D
this totally makes me wish that we lived closer so LB could go out and play in the snow with jacob and jenna. we only got out for a few minutes before he decided that if his dad was going to be inside so was he! he needs some playmates and rolemodels and j&j would be perfect!! :)

Those look like you're all very happy not to be at school! Very fun! We're off again today, Wed., but these have been our only 2 snow days. Not to be the voice of gloom, but just want to warn you and your readers about kids playing in big drifts. An 8-yr.-old girl from this area died when she got stuck head first in one.

Lovin the cowboys coat...and the catastrophic plane ride home with it the winter I got it! Where's Stanley???
