Basketball season

Basketball season for Jacob actually started in November. He first played on a 6th grade Van Wert team during November and December. After Christmas, he started playing on a 5th/6th grade boys team for the Y. His team is really young - there are only two 6th graders on the team. He has had fun playing point guard and getting to be one of the older boys on the team. His team hasn't won a game yet, but he's had some close ones.

Here are just a few photos from last week's game. The YMCA is my absolute least favorite place to take photos - everything ends up looking yellow due to the horrible lighting.

It actually looks like he is shooting at the tiny rim to the left...but he isn't.

He is always "coaching"...he definitely knows alot about basketball!

Obviously, he has a slight height disadvantage. The kid standing next to him is also a 6th grader - in fact they share the same birthday.

It's hard to think of Jacob as one of the older kids! I hope he's having fun, because that's pretty tough to have no victories. I guess it builds character. I'm sure his team is ready to make a turn around.

Great Y pics Amy...I have a yellow problem there too. What did you have your settings on for these! A lot better than mine.

I can't believe Jacob & Drew share the same birthday! Drew makes even Braden (who just turned 11 last week) look short! lol

Yeah, I have a feeling the boy next to him has a height advantage... not just Jake having a disadvantage! So did his free throw go in? He looks good with his contacts too!
