Where is the love???

I just checked in on my blog and noticed that I have had 54 "hits"since I downloaded a web counter yesterday morning. The sad thing is that I've had 54 "hits" and NO NEW COMMENTS. Now, I'm sure a couple of those hits were me, checking to see if there were any new comments...but I didn't check it that many times! Where is the blog love?? Leave me a comment!!! It's no fun to check your blog and not find any new comments. I've always been slightly obsessed about checking the mail and would get so excited when there was something fun in the mailbox for me! It all started in college - kind of a little competition between the girls on my dorm floor to see who got the best "fun" mail that day. Eventually my mail obsession turned into Email obsession....and I'd get just as excited to see if someone sent me a REAL email rather than something they just forwarded or some spam. Now my obsession has evolved once again into a blog comment obsession...checking to see who visited, who left a comment, and what fun, witty things they had to say. So....LEAVE ME A COMMENT - please! :) It's really not that hard and just takes a minute...and just think how happy you'd make me.

This sounds like a deep-rooted psychological problem. Maybe some kind of repressed memory from childhood with mailman? Maybe you should talk to Dr. Phil about it.
In the mean time...I WIN for putting first comment on tonight!
Yay me!

p.s.- I compulsively check my own blog/mail/etc. for messages. You're not alone.
Maybe we should start a support group? We'll invite Kelly Taylor to join, 'cause you know she's got every ailment and psyco-trauma there ever was.

I have a confession...I have no idea who Kelly Taylor is, but I just got back from watching about three episodes of Lost and I love it. I could talk about Jack and Kate and Sawyer and Sayid and Charlie all night. But then I remind myself that they're not reality and move on. So, moving on...

I am just as compulsive about checking to see if you have added new pictures and blogs! Ryan cannot wait to talk to Jacob about his wonderful spelling! O-H-I-O! Though he would have rather he spelled M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N! I love checking into your blog and your other links to check out what is going on and see the great pictures! Good Job!

I'm with Becca- let's have Jacob wear blue and spell MICHIGAN next time!

Who is Kelly Taylor...90210?
Just for the record, I always respond so you can all see my wonderful photo!
Is this a Davis/Lehman obsessive compulsive gene? Because I too check my mail and email way too often!
FYI- haven't had too many visitors on my blog lately...where have the aunts gone?

Yeah, i'm wondering that too. haven't seen any of them (aunts, that is) on here for what- three days or so? What the heck?

Maybe the aunts are embarrased by our obsessions with teenage tv stars...

OK - at least one aunt is still alive and well. For the record,I am definitely a compulsive checker/reader of all correspondence including the old fashioned outdoor mailbox, home email, school email and blogs! However, after enjoying the thrill of reading new messages and then revisiting previous entries to see additional comments, I don't have the same "must do" approach to responses - maybe that is because I still proof read/edit all of my
correspondence ... including email :) Since I do get to read blogs without being an identified blogger, and since it has been noted that people actually miss comments from the aunts, I will try to enter more comments instead of just "thinking them". Be careful what you wish for!

Commenting by intimidation! Whatever works. Here's my excuse -my school computer, which I check before & after school & usually at lunch - won't let me access these. So I come home & have to wait for Sudsy to get off the computer, where he's looking for the next best thing to sell, & that runs into my nap time. It's not easy being me.
Here's what I meant to say about OHIO: Go Bucks!!!! It worked. And why would ANYBODY, least of all an Ohio born and reared child (Lori) want to spell out the M word?
One more thing: how many aunts do you have, and who are the ones who have ever commented? Hmmmmm.

By the way, are you sure this isn't sibling rivalry b/c Jill got so many hits with her name blog?
Also, can you tell Jessica how to get her blog to allow "other" comments? I really do like to read them & respond, but I can't to hers, & I have some truly brilliant & deep replies.

You know, Nancy's right. I think that the fact that she even bothers to read our thoughts, (not to mention commenting on them!)-- and the same for Jenni and Barb-- should put them right up there in "favorite aunt" category...

And another thing: Amy, how do I get my photo to show up w/ my name?? You'd think I could figure it out, but no, I can't.

I can't be a favorite aunt but do share the same compulsive "check mail" gene. Just don't always have time to comment with dial up. Yes, please help Jessica so I can comment. i often write things then realize I can't send them. MOM
